Cone Penetration Testing
(CPT) Fugro pioneered many of today's advanced geotechnical and
environmental investigative techniques, including development of the first
commercial electronic cone penetrometer. CPT has become a reliable and expedient
method for stratigraphic profiling, and developing soil engineering parameters
for geotechnical design and is now also widely accepted and encouraged by
regulators as an effective environmental investigation technology.
Fugro has been the
innovator in the CPT industry and operates the largest fleet of modern rigs, not
only in the United States, but worldwide. A wide variety of
cone penetrometers, sensors and samplers
are
offered.
Our U.S.-based fleet
includes 10 truck-mounted units and 2 all-terrain units which are track and
buggy mounted. Pushing capacities of our rigs range up to 30 tons.
