Fugro Geosciences Drilling & Well Installation

Fugro Geosciences, Inc. currently owns and operates a fleet of eleven (11) major drill units and four (4) smaller drilling systems capable of performing environmental and geotechnical drilling, sampling, in-situ testing (CPT, field vane, pressuremeter testing) and well installations. Our high torque CME 75/750 hollow stem auger rigs are equipped with L-8 moyno pumps as well as 4 ½ x 5 Gardner Denver mud pumps for rotary wash drilling purposes. In addition to conventional geotechnical and environmental drilling services, we are experienced in specialty drilling including vibracore and drop core sampling related to onshore and near shore investigations.

For environmental projects, we provide self-contained decontamination units mounted on tandem-axle trailers. They feature 300-gallon water tanks and high pressure hot water cleaners. The trailers can also haul other equipment and materials required, such as augers, drums, well materials, etc. We also own and utilize auxiliary mixing pumps, mud pumps and grouting units which assist in the continuous mixing and pumping of grout for both monitor wells and isolation casings.

Our typical projects require us to sample and set wells in the unconsolidated sediments present along the Gulf Coast. We have set wells as small as 1/2-inch-diameter to as large as 18-inch-diameter, including pressure grouted isolation casings. All of our field personnel have current OSHA 40-Hour and 8-Hour refresher course training and are medically monitored annually including drug screenings which are also conducted randomly.
